Horsehead Nebula, Flame Nebula & surroundings

One of the most photographed among the astronomic targets for amateur astronomers is the horsehead nebula with the adjacent flame nebula and the Alnitak (ζ Orionis), located in the constellation of Orion, about 1,500 light years from us.

I had intense mood from time to pay this complex issue in a more pronounced artistic way, naturally respecting (or even trying to respect) the astronomical accuracy of these celestial objects. So therefore I will not mention the astronomical description of the contents of these objects.

The basis for this photograph were as starting point the shots I did with the Takahashi FD 106 (these were taken during September 2015 in Skyros Island and during November followed in Mani, Greece). I used the flame nebula frames that I did with the Vixen VC 200 L, also in September 2015, in Skyros Island.

Finally I used the frames of John Misti for the appropriate details of the horsehead dark nebula (those already granted by him on the Internet).

I hope you will enjoy the final results of all these!

During my involvement in photographing the "deep sky" I missed the accompaniment of music, as my musical experience guides me. So I decided to fill my astrophotos with my music. From September 2016 as a starting point, therefore, together with the Flaming Star Nebula,  I present to You, the ‘Floydish Pulsar I’, as my first musical composition (composition, performance and production by me), always inspired by these images.

Parallel Words ! and Dancing Stars I, complete my first trilogy.

Emjoy !
