Horsehead Nebula

Horsehead nebula (Barnard 33, IC 434).

The Horsehead nebula (Barnard 33, IC 434) is the famous dark nebula of Orion and emission nebula. Is 1.500 light years from us. This is also a favorite topic for amateur and scientists astophotogrphers.

The red or pink glow originates from hydrogen gas predominantly behind the nebula which are ionized by the nearby star sigma of Orion. The darkness of horsehead is caused by dense dust. Gas streams are removed from the nebula by a strong magnetic field. Bright spots at the base of the nebula are newly formed stars.

The Flame Nebula is 900-1500 light years from us and is an emission nebula too. The bright star zita Ori (Alnitak) emits intense UV radiation.

During my involvement in photographing the "deep sky" I missed the accompaniment of music, as my musical experience guides me. So I decided to fill my astrophotos with my music. From September 2016 as a starting point, therefore, together with the Flaming Star Nebula,  I present to You, the ‘Floydish Pulsar I’, as my first musical composition (composition, performance and production by me), always inspired by these images.

Parallel Words ! and Dancing Stars I, complete my first trilogy.

Emjoy !
